The IWILL approach
An industrial panel PC — Android on ARM or Windows on Intel — with modifications for outdoor use:
High-brightness display
Brightness raised to around 1000 nits for sunlight readability, with optical bonding against glare and condensation between glass and LCD.
Wide-temperature components
Industrial RAM and SSD rated to +60°C. In the Gulf, the locker cabinet also needs shading and ventilation so the panel stays inside that rating.
Peripheral integration
USB and COM ports drive the door locks, barcode reader and payment terminal directly, without extra hubs.
IP65 front
A sealed front resists water jets and dust, with capacitive touch that works with wet fingers.

Frequently asked questions
Can a panel PC survive a locker in direct Gulf sun?
Only if the cabinet is designed for it. Summer air in the Gulf can pass 45°C and a sun-loaded metal box gets hotter still — above what any standard electronics are rated for. A canopy, reflective finish and ventilation or a small cooling unit keep the panel inside its rating; we review the design with you.
Android or Windows?
Android on ARM is lower-cost and lower-power for a dedicated locker app. Windows on Intel suits software that already runs on Windows or needs more peripherals.
